December is the earliest the elections could be held: Ibra

Ibrahim Ismail (Ibra) the chairperson of the drafting committee had revealed that elections are not possible to be held before December as far as the works of the parliament had reached is concerned.


Denying the talks of DRP about him, Ibra stated that even though the works on the constitution reaches an end in April, as there are several works to be completed before the elections, the elections is not expected to be held before 22nd of November, even by working on the shortest scheduled plan.


Furthermore, Ibra said that if the works are being carried at this rate, if any slow motion comes, it is not to be in November even; besides, it would not be in August for sure. Moreover, he said that the currently worked constitution is not referred as a new constitution, as the President of the Majilis repeatedly said that it is not.


Moreover, Ibra stated that, of the 32 chapters on Transition, 24 had been agreed by both DRP and MDP, and what had not yet been agreed on is the pronouncing of a government and the ones to run it.
