Former Chairperson of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Mohamed Nasheed (Anni) has commenced campaign trips to islands of Thiladhunmathi (Northern Maldives) to gain support to win MDP presidential primaries.
Anni’s campaign office in Male’ informs that the trip to north Maldives is part of program to gain support of MDP members across the country to win the party’s presidential nomination. Anni before embarking on the trip to northern islands visited Addu Atoll and Fuvahmulh from 9 to 14 of this month.
Anni’s campaign office informs that in addition to making door to door visits and holding general assemblies Anni is expected to attend various functions organized by the general members.
